Aldeia da Mata Pequena, in the municipality of Mafra, was a village forgotten by civilization, where villagers still lived who maintained the usual experiences and traditions. Preserving the nature and essence of this place, the recovery has perfectly reborn a space that keeps the taste of other times intact. This small rural village, made up of 13 houses, is just 30 minutes from Lisbon, but far from the hustle and bustle of the capital. The guests have some permanent residents of the village as neighbors and, for that very reason, it is not a museum village, but a place with its own life, where you have the possibility of directly contacting the uses, customs and daily activities of the village. countryside life. Every morning, the ingredients for breakfast and hot bread, baked in a wood-fired oven, are placed at the door of each house. It is the visitors who prepare their own meal. Accommodation is divided into apartments T1, T2 and T3, equipped with a kitchen and decorated in a very typical style. Guests are challenged to get to know the area through various organized proposals such as donkey rides, walks or horseback riding.
