Amadora is a Portuguese city belonging to the Lisbon district and metropolitan area.
It is the seat of the municipality of Amadora, one of the smallest municipalities in Portugal with only 23.79 km², but 171,719 inhabitants (2021), being the most densely populated in the country and divided into six parishes. The municipality is limited to the northeast by the municipality of Odivelas, to the southeast by Lisbon, to the south and west by Oeiras and to the west and north by Sintra.
It is a large dormitory in Lisbon, and appears in this work because it is a municipality.
